E the Pony Plushie

Made with a modified version of 's pattern. Made my own mane design for E's multicolor mane and tail. This was mostly a test of the pattern and instructions. More pics here: [link] Eyes are embroidered patches from here: [link] Made from Polar Fleece.

Changes that I made to the pattern (mostly because I hate hand sewing):
Custom mane and tail
1 piece sides on the body
Machine sewed the head to the body
Machine sewed the tail to the body
Changed the grain line on the belly by 90 degrees
All seams were regular sewn, then overlocked for strength.
Entire body was turned right side out (including the tail) though a 1.25" slit between the ears.
Turning slit was sewn up with a mattress stitch.

Things I will change on the next one:
Male head. This head gave me a lot of problems, especially the nose. It was very small, and hard to sew.
Put the eyes on in the right rotation (these are looking too far up)
More stuffing in the head (nose does not have enough stuffing, and head is not round due to low stuffing.
Make the mane top and mane back as 1 piece instead of 2.
Make the tail longer in proportion to the body.
Make 2.5 to 3 foot tall.
